The Office of Student Activities and Fraternity and Sorority Life is home to many opportunities for student involvement. Between joining one of our 600+ student organizations including Fraternities and Sororities, meeting with a SEAL ambassador, or attending one of our signature campus events, the possibilities really are endless to get involved and build community. Getting involved is a way to make a big campus feel a little bit smaller and find your place.
With over 600 student organizations, there's something for everyone, and if somehow you can't find an organization that fits your interests, we'll help you create it! You can get to know our student organizations online through The Hub. You'll have plenty of time throughout the rest of orientation to learn more about that resource. Our Fraternities and Sororities are values-based social organizations are incredibly active on campus. From social events, to philanthropy and service, to brotherhood and sisterhood events. There are many opportunities to get to know more about becoming a member of the Fraternity and Sorority community throughout orientation, including a session led by our office that will answer many questions about the community and our recruitment process.
SEAL ambassadors are students who can help connect you to involvement opportunities, work with you to create a new student organization, and can serve as general support as you figure out what you want your Miami experience to look like! Our office also helps to facilitate many campus events that should be on your Miami bucket list. From Mega Fair, our student organization fair that provides a space for hundreds of our groups to reach out to new members, to festivals, live shows and many other events provided by Miami Activities and Programming or MAP. There are so many opportunities to experience things you could only have the opportunity to do right here at Miami.
Thanks for taking a few minutes to learn more about our office and all that we do. We look forward to seeing you in a few of our other sessions later on in your orientation materials. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out through the contact information provided on the screen!
